"It's not what we do, but who we become that changes the world."
--Sandra Ingerman
I just came across this quote. It reminded me of work today. I was on the sales floor and a woman came in with her grandson ( I went to middle school with him). It was Nick Stage. I recognized him, but did not say anything. He kept looking at me during their time in the store, but he did not say anything either.
Later on in the morning, another one of my former classmates came in. It was Adam Romeo. He stopped and started to talk to me. It was great hearing about his post college life. When I look back and think about it in high school we never really spoke only when we had a class together. I guess our life experiences after we receive that high school diploma really do change who we are as a person. In high school, we are trying to find ourselves and where we fit in. In college it is still the same, but once we enter the real world we kind of have to already know who we are and where we belong.
In conclusion, it does not matter what you do in life that makes a difference, but rather who you are that really impacts the world and the lives of others. Just think about it... if you did not know who you were do you really think you would know where you can make a difference in the world?
